Check out the new and improved Net Detective - Find out the TRUTH about anyone!!

Now that we have indentified helpful information for locating the skip it is time to "Categorize the Skip".

Generally, there are only two types of skip:

Someone that is running from the authorities for crimes they have committed or they are simply not wanting to be found for some reason are labeled as an Intentional Skip. This person will likely "clean up" behind himself and is less likely to leave behind the "trails" that most skip tracers look for. Most are aware of what is necessary to avoid being found and do whatever it takes to achieve that goal. They avoid lawsuits and bill collectors by moving around a lot, change jobs and get a post office box to avoid obligations. Usually they will not attempt to make an entire identity change and frequently leave a trail behind that can be followed.

Some Intentional Skips know how to hide and are often difficult to locate unless they slip up. If they know how to avoid paper trails, don't stay in touch with family and friends, change jobs often , work for cash only and change their look your only hope is them making a mistake.

All other skips are classified and Unintentional Skips. Most of these people do not even realize someone is looking for them. They will probably be the easiest to find.
